Byron Po is a PhD student in Applied Linguistics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics. Byron’s current research interests center on race and ethnicity, pluriversality, and discourse analysis. He speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese, and will pursue a dual-title degree in Applied Linguistics and Asian Studies. Byron has taught a variety of composition, reading, and Asian studies courses at Penn State, and also possesses experience teaching Japanese and Chinese in non-academic settings.
